Shift Supervisor, Material Handling (daytime position)

For our PE production site in Stenungsund, we are looking for a Shift Supervisor Material Handling who supports the implementation of the local logistics strategy in all operational aspects. In this vital role, you will ensure cost-efficient day-to-day operation of all material handling activities throughout the respective shift organisation including packaging, storage and loading. Furthermore, the Shift Supervisor Material Handling analysis operational results and seeks continuously for opportunities to improve. As a Shift Supervisor you will be the line manager of the Production Leaders and the Technical Trainer.

We need your expertise to
Ensure that our internal requirements related to operational excellence, customer needs and safety meet the daily Material Handling operations.
Ensure that legal and safety compliance is embedded and sustainable implemented into the full shift organisation at all times.
Ensure process performance based on best practice sharing, driving implementation, auditing and continuous improvement as well as support of the local Logistics Manager.
Ensure reporting and proper follow-up of incidents, near misses and audit actions.
Follow-up on the execution of maintenance and working budget projects.
Prepare annual budget requests based on volume, maintenance cost, personnel and strategic plans.
Support Material Handling related projects.
Act as a people focused leader who develops, coaches and encourages a team of approx. seven directs reports to assure continuous development towards a high performing organization that meets the current and anticipated business needs.
Agree performance objectives and targets, which are consistent and aligned with the Logistics team as well as assurance of target achievement.

Your Profile

As a Material Handling Supervisor, you have a University degree in a Business or Logistics oriented discipline with at least 10 years of experience in production or logistics operations. You are an experienced team leader who is being recognized for having well-developed people, communication and conflict management skills. You are able to master relevant IT tools and are fluent in both written and spoken English. In addition, you are stress-resistant, customer oriented and adapt easily to a fast moving, challenging environment.
