Environmental Manager

We are looking for an Environmental Manager who enjoys working in a large multifunctional matrix organization and have a passion for Environmental care. You like challenges and to guide, support and develop people and teams towards improving Environmental performance. You will be the leader of the Environmental network within Powertrain Production (PTP) and coordinating appropriate processes within the management system. By being the representative for our sites when participating in Group Trucks Operations (GTO) networks, we ensure environmental harmonization and process compliance.
This position will report to the Vice President Quality and Environment PTP, Group Trucks Operations.

Essential Skills and Experience:
University degree within appropriate areas
Experience in leadership, coaching and communication
Good knowledge in ISO 14001:2015, process management and internal audits

Critical Competencies:
Knowledge of environmental aspects and impacts
Ability to coach and create high performing teams
Ability to lead activities and projects virtually and in a multi-cultural environment
Documented good managerial ability preferably within production
Experience with business management system
Lean manufacturing experience is a merit (Volvo Production System)
Good understanding of the Volvo Group Businesses
As all documentation is in English, proficiency in the English language is required Key Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of this role is to secure environmental excellence within PTP to ensure responsible and sustainable operations leading to customer success.

Define steps and ensure progress towards our wanted position for environment through the entire value chain
Lead and coach global improvement work for decided environmental focus areas
Follow up and support implementation of Environmental actions and initiatives
Ensure that sites way of working complies to ISO14001 standards
Report Environmental performance results to GTO and PTP management team on a quarterly basis
