Assignment description
The intake, sensors & encapsulation team is now looking for a Component Responsible to work within the encapsulation area. The team consists of 12 members working with diesel and petrol applications including hybrid drivetrains.
The main team deliveries consist of the full air induction system, belt covers, cable ducts, support brackets and NVH encapsulation as well as sensors including; airflow, pressure and temperature sensors, differential pressure sensors, lambda sensors, exhaust gas temperature sensors, exhaust manifold pressure sensors and soot sensors.
Role Description
As Component Responsible, you will be responsible for engine components during development, production, and aftermarket phases. The role includes close collaboration with multiple suppliers and internal stakeholders to plan and secure deliveries according to the project time plans.
In early project phase you will be evaluating concepts to secure the best solution based on technology, risk and cost. The work includes both technical aspects as well as securing suppliers, creating time plans, reporting progress towards project leaders and align material production for prototype series.
To ensure the concept is production capable, you will collaborate with the packaging teams to ensure proper vehicle integration whether they are build-to-print or full-service suppliers. For build-to-print components you will be responsible for owning the design and leading the development to suit the complete product requirements. For full-service supplier components, you will need to collaborate with the supplier to ensure the product meets our requirements.
The concept needs to be verified through both virtual and physical testing, where your responsibility is to define the target criteria together with the help from the system responsible to prove the concept and to follow up on verification activities.
In later project phase work, when the solution is decided, the focus moves to prepare for production start. Communication with suppliers is essential to secure a feasible manufacturing solution, and to prepare all documentation needed for both quality and legal aspects to ensure a high level of quality is delivered.
After production starts you will be the main point of contact if there are any issues.
Key Responsibilities
Create and evaluate designs, selecting the best solutions based on technology, risk, and cost during concept development
Develop and manage time plans, ensure progress reporting, and maintain technical documentation, including 2D drawings, 3D models, engineering specifications and more

Act as the primary point of contact for resolving technical issues after production begins
On a personal level
You are a team player, who can handle multiple projects simultaneously. At work, you enjoy problem solving and are eager to work together with others to find new solutions. You are easy going and enjoy searching for ways to drive the projects forward. We need you to be analytical, focused and structured to successfully plan and execute your assignments.
You will need to feel comfortable communicating in English as we are an international company and you will also need to be able to communicate with different stakeholders and teams, so communication skills are key.
