What you will do

As a Tech & Engineering Investment Consultant, you will work with venture capital firms, private equity investors, technology companies, and engineering startups to evaluate technologies, businesses, products, and investment opportunities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assessing engineering startups, technology companies, products, and investment opportunities from a technical and operational perspective.
• Working with venture capitalists and private equity firms to understand the technical aspects of potential investments.
• Evaluating technology architectures, engineering capabilities, product development processes, technical risks, and scalability.
• Acting as a bridge between engineers, startup founders, technical teams, and investors, translating complex technical concepts into clear business and financial insights.
• Conducting technical due diligence and identifying opportunities, limitations, risks, and areas requiring further investigation.
• Analyzing existing engineering and business workflows to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Recommending technology upgrades, digital tools, automation, and AI solutions that can improve productivity, quality, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Supporting companies in adopting digital technologies and AI to optimize processes and improve decision-making.
• Researching emerging technologies, engineering trends, startups, and technology markets.
• Preparing technical assessments, investment materials, reports, presentations, and recommendations for investors and company leadership.
• Communicating technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Working independently on technical analyses while collaborating with investors, founders, engineers, and other specialists.

Compensation

• Base salary: SEK 37,000–65,000 per month, depending on qualifications, relevant experience, and responsibilities.
• Annual salary review based on performance and role development.
• Performance-based annual bonus may be available based on individual and company performance.

Who can apply?

We are looking for candidates who combine strong technical or engineering understanding with analytical thinking and an interest in business and investment.

Ideal candidates may have:

• A Bachelor's, Master's, PhD, or equivalent professional experience in engineering, physics, computer science, technology, mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• The ability to understand complex engineering and technology concepts quickly.
• An interest in startups, venture capital, private equity, technology investment, or business strategy.
• The ability to translate technical information into clear, concise business insights.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A structured and detail-oriented approach to research and analysis.
• An interest in emerging technologies, digital transformation, AI, and automation.
• The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Experience in engineering, R&D, product development, technical consulting, investment analysis, technical due diligence, digital transformation, AI, automation, or startup environments would be valuable.
