Site Manager, Sweden-based projects, Nordec

Nordec is one of the leading providers of steel structures and façade solutions in Northern Europe. We design, manufacture and install steel structures for demanding construction projects, ranging from industrial facilities and logistics centres to large-scale data centres and other landmark developments.

Barona is recruiting Site Managers on behalf of Nordec. The selected candidates will be employed directly by Nordec in a permanent position.

As Nordec continues to strengthen its presence in Sweden and across Northern Europe, we are looking for experienced Site Managers to lead installation works on demanding construction projects.

This is an opportunity for an experienced site professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with people leadership, customer collaboration and hands-on project execution. In this role, you will be at the heart of project delivery, ensuring that installation activities are completed safely, efficiently and according to agreed quality and schedule targets.

As a Site Manager, you will act as one of Nordec's key representatives on site. You will lead installation teams and subcontractors, coordinate daily site operations and work closely with customers, project management and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading and coordinating on-site installation activities

Managing site teams and subcontractors

Ensuring quality, safety, schedule, cost control and productivity targets are achieved

Acting as the main on-site contact towards customers and stakeholders

Monitoring project progress and reporting to the Project Manager

Resolving operational challenges and supporting efficient project execution

The role requires sound technical understanding, strong leadership capabilities and the ability to maintain productive relationships with customers, partners and site personnel in a dynamic project environment.

What we are looking for

We are interested in professionals who have gained substantial experience in site management, construction management or related leadership roles within construction and industrial projects.

To succeed in the role, you have:

Several years of experience in site management, project management or a comparable leadership position

Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate multiple stakeholders in demanding project environments

Strong understanding of construction processes, site operations and safety requirements

Experience from large industrial projects, data centres or other technically demanding construction projects is considered an advantage

Experience of cost control and budgeting

Fluent English language skills, Swedish is considered an advantage

A structured, proactive and solution-oriented way of working

Willingness to travel according to project requirements
