Digital Accessibility Specialist

Nordic Investin is recruiting a Digital Accessibility Specialist on behalf of one of our partner companies. You make accessibility concrete enough for teams to design, build and test, rather than leaving it as a compliance statement.

The partner wants to improve accessibility across customer and employee facing digital services. You will combine expert reviews, practical coaching and governance to help teams identify barriers early and deliver experiences that work for more people.

Design is embedded in product and service decisions rather than added after scope is fixed. The team expects evidence, accessibility and implementation constraints to be considered from the beginning and revisited after release.

You will join a multidisciplinary team and move between discovery, design, delivery and learning after launch. The partner expects assumptions to be made visible, prototypes to answer real questions and design decisions to remain understandable when they reach engineering and operations.

As a specialist, you will own a defined professional area and be trusted to move work forward independently. You are expected to recognise when a question requires wider expertise, explain recommendations clearly and improve the methods or tools used by colleagues around you.

• Audit websites and applications against recognised accessibility criteria.

• Test with keyboard, screen readers and assistive technologies.

• Translate findings into clear design and engineering actions.

• Review prototypes and components before implementation.

• Train product teams and build reusable guidance.

• Support accessibility statements, evidence and remediation planning.

• Hands on digital accessibility experience.

• Strong knowledge of WCAG and inclusive design principles.

• Ability to test with common assistive technologies.

• Understanding of HTML, CSS and interface behaviour.

• Clear reporting and stakeholder coaching skills.

• Professional English; Swedish is valuable for local services.

• Accessibility certification or specialist training.

• Public sector or regulated digital services.

• Design system accessibility work.

You may come from UX, frontend development, quality assurance or a dedicated accessibility practice. We are interested in whether you can connect a technical criterion with the real barrier it creates and help a team choose the right remedy.

Your work will improve products directly while building capability that lasts beyond individual audits. The partner offers visible sponsorship and teams ready for practical guidance, not simply a final score.

The exact partner, employment model, compensation, start date and working arrangement will be explained openly during the process. Nordic Investin will make sure you understand the context, expectations and decision path before you are asked to commit significant time.

During the process, Nordic Investin will focus on concrete decisions you have made: the context you received, the alternatives you considered, the result you observed and what you would change today. You do not need every optional credential if your core experience transfers and you can explain how you would close the gap.
