Site Planning Manager

Develop and implement production plans to maximize the use of the organization’s resources and meet established production specifications and schedules; volume, cost, and wastage targets; and quality standards.

Key Activities (Tasks and Responsibilities)

Use manufacturing plans, contracts, and production specifications to produce schedules and production plans and estimate the human resources, tools, and equipment needed to manufacture products.
Lead your team across the employee life cycle, guide, coach and manage.
Deputise for the Site Lead in their absence to ensure the smooth operations of the facility.
Support the Site Lead to develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the overall production process.
Support the site lead to develop and implement yearly budget plans.
Foster a positive work environment across the facility that promotes productivity, teamwork, and employee engagement.
Role modelling the Company’s DNA and ensuring that these are followed by the team.
Monitor production activity and analyze production data so that the flow of materials is timed to meet production requirements.
Adjust schedules to accommodate backlogs, design changes, and material or labor shortages.
Prepare work orders for production or purchase requests based on production schedules.
Evaluate production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes and calculate machine and operator loads.
Lead and manage a team of three: two Planning Specialists and one Junior Planner.
