Senior AWS Platform Engineer

Nordic Investin has been engaged by a partner company to find a Senior AWS Platform Engineer. You want development teams to move quickly because the platform makes the safe path the easy path.

The partner is building an AWS platform that supports several digital products. You will create reusable infrastructure, improve developer self service and take ownership of the controls that keep cloud delivery secure and predictable.

The platform is treated as a service used by engineers and business teams. Success will be measured through safer change, lower operational friction and clearer ownership rather than the number of tools introduced.

How you will work

The work combines planned platform development with investigation of real production behaviour. You will collaborate with application teams, security and operations, using their feedback to decide what should become a shared service, an automated control or clear documentation. Ownership continues after the first release.

As a senior colleague, you will own substantial outcomes and help others make stronger decisions. You are expected to recognise risk early, communicate it without drama and move work forward with practical alternatives. The role still includes hands on delivery; seniority here means broader judgement, not distance from the work.

What you will do



Design AWS landing zones, accounts and shared platform services.



Build reusable infrastructure modules with Terraform.



Create paved paths for deployment, secrets and observability.



Improve identity, network and policy controls.



Support container and serverless workloads in production.



Work with product teams to remove recurring delivery friction.

What you will bring



Strong hands on AWS experience across production environments.



Infrastructure as code using Terraform or an equivalent tool.



Knowledge of IAM, networking, encryption and cloud security.



Experience with Kubernetes, ECS or serverless platforms.



CI CD and software development skills.



Professional English and a service oriented platform mindset.

Experience that would add value



AWS Control Tower or multi account governance.



Developer portals and platform product practices.



Experience in a regulated cloud environment.

A background that can succeed here

Your background may be cloud engineering, DevOps, software development or infrastructure automation. The important part is that you treat the platform as a product with users, feedback and measurable reliability.
