Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Nordic Investin is recruiting a Senior Cloud Security Engineer on behalf of one of our partner companies. You want cloud security to be expressed in code, guardrails and useful feedback rather than a document teams discover during review.

The partner is expanding workloads across Azure or AWS and needs stronger preventive and detective controls. You will build security capabilities into the platform and work directly with engineering teams on adoption.

Security work is expected to reduce real exposure while preserving the organisation’s ability to deliver. The strongest candidates can connect a technical weakness with a credible threat, an appropriate control and a practical path to implementation.

You will work directly with the people who design, operate and depend on the systems being protected. Recommendations must identify the threat, the affected asset and a realistic implementation path. The partner values careful evidence, proportionate controls and clear escalation when risk cannot be removed immediately.

As a senior colleague, you will own substantial outcomes and help others make stronger decisions. You are expected to recognise risk early, communicate it without drama and move work forward with practical alternatives. The role still includes hands on delivery; seniority here means broader judgement, not distance from the work.

• Implement cloud security policies and automated controls.

• Strengthen identity, privilege and workload access patterns.

• Secure network boundaries, secrets and encryption.

• Integrate security checks into infrastructure pipelines.

• Develop monitoring and response for cloud threats.

• Investigate findings and help teams remove root causes.

• Hands on Azure or AWS security engineering.

• Strong IAM, networking and encryption knowledge.

• Infrastructure as code and policy as code experience.

• Understanding of containers and cloud native workloads.

• Ability to script or develop security automation.

• Professional English and collaborative problem solving.

• CNAPP, CSPM or cloud detection engineering.

• Kubernetes security.

• Experience in a regulated cloud environment.

Your background might be cloud engineering with a security focus, security operations moving into automation or application security that expanded into platforms. We care about controls you have implemented and operated.

You will have the access and mandate to improve the cloud foundation itself. The partner offers complex environments, modern tooling and close collaboration with the teams whose work your controls protect.
