Lead Data Architect

Nordic Investin is recruiting a Lead Data Architect on behalf of one of our partner companies. You can create a coherent data direction without pretending every domain should use the same model, platform or pace of change.

The partner is reshaping how data is owned, shared and used across products and analytics. You will define architecture principles, guide platform choices and help domains establish data products with clear responsibility.

The partner wants data and AI work that can be operated, explained and improved after launch. Provenance, quality, access and evaluation belong in the solution from the beginning.

You will work with engineers, analysts and domain specialists who look at the same information from different angles. The partner expects assumptions, datasets and evaluation methods to be visible. Solutions should be designed for repeatable delivery, monitored use and responsible change after deployment.

This is a leadership role with hands on responsibility for direction, decisions and the capability of others. You will create enough structure for teams to move independently, while stepping into detail when risk or ambiguity demands it. The partner wants visible ownership without unnecessary hierarchy.

• Define target data architecture and staged transition plans.

• Clarify ownership, contracts and interoperability across domains.

• Guide warehouse, lakehouse, streaming and operational data patterns.

• Embed governance, privacy and lifecycle requirements in designs.

• Review major initiatives and resolve cross team dependencies.

• Communicate investment choices to technical and executive audiences.

• Extensive data engineering or architecture experience.

• Strong knowledge of modelling, integration and cloud data platforms.

• Experience designing across analytics and operational use cases.

• Understanding of governance, privacy and security.

• Ability to influence distributed teams without centralising every decision.

• Professional English and strong visual and written communication.

• Data mesh or federated governance in practice.

• AI platform architecture.

• Large migration or merger integration experience.

You may have led data platforms, enterprise architecture or complex transformation programmes. The partner needs someone who can connect strategic decisions with the pipelines, models and accountabilities required to make them real.

The role offers organisation wide influence and access to consequential investment decisions. You will help create a data environment that can support current reporting needs and the next generation of intelligent products.

The exact partner, employment model, compensation, start date and working arrangement will be explained openly during the process. Nordic Investin will make sure you understand the context, expectations and decision path before you are asked to commit significant time.

During the process, Nordic Investin will focus on concrete decisions you have made: the context you received, the alternatives you considered, the result you observed and what you would change today. You do not need every optional technology if your core experience transfers and you can explain how you would close the gap.
