Senior Exterior/Interior Studio Engineer

You will step into a key role at the intersection of design and engineering in the automotive industry. Here, you help turn ambitious design themes into technically feasible solutions across both interior and exterior areas. You work close to design and engineering teams, making sure design intent is understood, protected, and translated into real product development decisions.

This is a role for you who enjoy complex, aesthetic-sensitive challenges and want to influence how vehicles are developed from concept to implementation. It is an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with advanced vehicle development in a studio environment where your technical judgment makes a visible difference.

• You represent the voice of design and communicate design intent clearly within engineering.
• You translate engineering requirements into design possibilities and bring key legislative and technical requirements into the design process.
• You generate feasible solutions for technically challenging areas across interior and exterior development.
• You manage and document agreements between design and engineering teams.
• You assess the feasibility of design themes, highlight critical issues, and help move development in the intended design direction.
• You support the setup of design clay models, including standing heights, wheel positions, and seating positions.

• You have complete vehicle engineering knowledge covering both interior and exterior.
• You have a complete understanding of the vehicle development process.
• You have very good experience with Catia and Teamcenter.
• You have a technical university degree or equivalent, and +10 years solid working experience from automotive industry.
• You have extensive automotive product concept and component engineering experience in aesthetic sensitive areas.
• You understand engineering and validation processes for vehicle components and systems.
• You have working knowledge of component manufacturing, tooling requirements, and lead times.
• You communicate clearly and work effectively both independently and in cross-functional teams, with the ability to take a leading role.
• You are highly effective and productive.
• Fluency in English is required.

It must be confirmed that the candidate will not have issues obtaining a travel visa from the Chinese Visa Application Center.

• Experience working in a design studio is merited.
• Mandarin is merited.
