Project Director

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to join our team on a large-scale data centre project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing an entire project team of Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical & Electrical Supervisors, Engineers, administrative staff, and Subcontractors as they carry out CSA, Mechanical & Electrical installation and ensure the project programme is kept. The Project Director must be effective at motivating their team, as well as giving a frank but constructive assessment of the work done.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall planning, execution, and delivery of the project, ensuring efficient engineering and innovative approaches throughout.
• Develop and implement project strategies, collaborating closely with teams to manage, support, and motivate performance.
• Manage and track project budgets, labour resources, costs, commissioning procedures, and overall project performance.
• Ensure best practices are embedded from the outset, including reporting systems, meeting structures, and project documentation.
• Maintain continuous engagement with key stakeholders (clients, design teams, consultants, subcontractors) to ensure successful delivery.
• Safeguard client satisfaction by ensuring cost, scope, and programme requirements are consistently met.
• Champion health & safety standards, promoting a positive culture and proactive behaviours on-site.
• Monitor and uphold quality targets, ensuring standards are achieved and exceeded.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's or master's degree in construction, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in a senior leadership role, with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects (including Mechanical & Electrical contracting, ideally €50M+ in value) from design through to completion.
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness, with the ability to manage budgets, control costs, and oversee financial performance.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively and balance detail with the bigger picture.
• Demonstrated leadership capability, able to inspire, motivate, and manage high-performing teams while building strong relationships with clients, consultants, and suppliers.
• Proactive, diligent, and forward-thinking, with a solutions-focused approach to challenges.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
