Academic Account Manager

Role Summary:
Would you like to work for a great purpose? We are looking for an Account Manager for Sweden to position GE Life Sciences (LS) within the selected customer segment & be recognized as the provider of a complete scientific solution focused around protein separation, purification, identification, characterization through to kinetics and cellular impact. In this role, you’ll work closely with a global GE team that will support you in a matrix sales environment.

Essential Responsibilities:
Actively position GE LS within the market to be known as trusted scientific partner around protein science
Enable growth and meet the profit targets by choosing cost-effective routes and optimal time-frames
Engage & support sales specialists and undertake a key role in driving effective team work
Understand the external customer’s business issues and challenges within the field of proteins and search the best solutions for their needs
Actively look for and develop new business opportunities to accelerate growth by following the market trends

Qualifications/Requirements:
Education to Bachelor Degree in protein sciences or related discipline or an equivalent qualification and relevant experience gained working in the Life Science Industry
Training in sales and the management of key accounts
A proven track-record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and a desire to grow new business
Advanced background/training in and understanding of Life Sciences products
Experience in understanding of customer needs and business drivers

Desired Characteristics:
Master’s degree (or equivalent) preferred
Experience closing large, complex, strategic deals
Deep knowledge of GE Healthcare and the products and services offered
