Supplier Quality Leader - Logistics

Join the GE Healthcare Life Sciences Supplier Quality team as a Supplier Quality Leader – Logistics. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the Life Sciences Distribution and Logistics partners for from a Quality perspective.

Essential Responsibilities:
This is a global quality leadership role, you will be required to work with both internal teams and suppliers spread out on every continent. The role reports to the Global Supplier Quality Manager – Life Sciences. The Life Sciences Supplier Quality team is made up of 25+ Supplier Quality Engineers and Team Leaders based from east coast China in the east to western US in the west and we manage more than 2500 suppliers. You will be a key member of the team to help us build a new strategy around Distribution and Logistics Supplier Quality and QA.
Develop and implement strategies to strengthen Quality Management System to support product distribution, ensuring awareness, risk assessment and that compliance remediation plans are effectively being implemented
Perform regular quality review and monitoring to demonstrate quality objectives are being achieved
Develop and implement a robust global model for Logistics supplier management designed to evaluate site internal controls, policies, processes, and mechanisms to ensure they are adequate, effective, and in compliance with regulatory principles, corporate guidelines and industry standards
Maintain Global Logistics Approved Supplier List to support global distribution
Effectively assess and evaluate suppliers in the supplier selection process
Responsible for leading root cause investigations and corrective actions to resolve supplier quality related issues
Performing supplier audits per audit plan
Establish and maintain positive relationships with external and internal interfaces to ensure that customer requirements are understood and achieved – suppliers, engineering, service, manufacturing, sourcing
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering - Mechanical, Chemical, Biological, Production, Industrial or equivalent knowledge/experience
Significant experience in manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance or regulatory assurance
Experience from working with Distribution Quality management in Pharma, Life Sciences or Medical device industry as a quality lead or responsible person
Solid experience of GDP (Good Distribution Practices)
Knowledge of EU GDP Guidelines 2013/C 343/01
Experience in oversight of 3rd parties (3PL suppliers, warehouses and freight suppliers, etc.), including cold chain distribution management, route mapping, temp mapping and validation of such systems
Proven track record in performing external and internal audits
Effective problem solving, root-cause analytical skills to lead and influence others to drive change (cross-functionally and globally)
Working language is generally English but local language knowledge is a plus

Desired Characteristics:
Familiarity with various engineering areas of technology, such as, but not limited to: Single-use technology, Plastics, OEM or CMO (Process & Design capability), Chemistry, Biologics
Demonstrated collaboration, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Proven process development and project management skills
