SSAB - Specialist Thermal cutting

SSAB and Knowledge Service Center are looking for a coworker within processing technology. You will work within a group called “Manufacturing Technology” and focus on thermal cutting and welding technology. Placement Oxelösund.

About the position
You will mainly work within the field of thermal cutting (Oxy fuel cutting, Plasma cutting).

Together with our experts, customer and or other external parties as university’s you will conduct research and development activities in order to develop or invent new products, components or processes. Together with Analyze test result and create detailed reports about conclusions and recommendations.

You will manage strategic development activities, research projects as well as plan and coordinate testing and analyzes of new products. You will also participate in internal and external forums and develop manuals, brochures and other technical documents. SSAB Special Steels is recognized by the close cooperation with our customer and you in this specialist role execute customer cases and projects to secure value creation for customers such as recommendations and problem solving, from development stage to full production.

Your qualifications
A bachelor degree or similar within the technical field is preferred. IWE, IWT or IWS diploma is meritorious. Experience from workshop processes like thermal cutting and welding is of importance. Good presentation and communication in English and Swedish is preferred. Good structure and quality thinking is a must in order to handle the different projects and tasks.

Proven skill in project leading, working in teams as well as perform individual is part of the daily work.
