Global Quality Manager - Electrical & Software Architecture

WHO ARE YOU?

WE believe the selectied candidate will have:
Master of Science in Electronics Engineering or equivalent
Extensive experience from product development in the truck or car industry
General technical experience from Electrical and Electronics development
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Electrical & Software Architecture (ESA) is a global department within Vehicle Engineering, responsible for developing the Electrical System to all truck brands within the Volvo Group. We are located at four different sites globally. The Electrical and Electronics area will continue to grow in importance in the commercial vehicle industry and in the Volvo Group. We are currently developing very exciting products and will continue to do so in the years to come as we are expanding our business into new segments.

ROLE SUMMARY

As Global Quality Manager you provide support and coordination for quality activities within the full scope of ESA), for both Technology & Vehicle groups, and for all sites. The scope of the mission covers both “preventive quality” – quality and safety assurance of the ESA deliverables in the projects, and “reactive quality” – related to customers’ issues in the field. You will lead the Global Quality network with representatives at all sites, and the responsibility also includes ensuring experience sharing and benchmark of best practices between sites.

You will be an important member and contributor in the Global ESA Management Team working with highly skilled colleagues in an exciting, global environment with a big opportunity to develop both professionally and personally.
You will be reporting to the Vice President of Electrical & Software Architecture.
