Communication Manager

Educational Qualifications and experience
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or similar degree in related field
Proven track record from working in a similar role including experience from working in a global organization
Experience from innovation and/or software related communication is an advantage

Critical Competencies
Ability to formulate a clear point of view on complex issues, pay attention to details and create a concise and well-written narrative
Hands-on approach, capable of quickly switching between strategic thinking and operational work.
Excellent people and teamwork skills. Strong capacity to build networks in a multicultural, global environment and to influence others to make things happen
Proficiency in digital communication and digital channel development
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience with desktop publishing, graphics, and basic video/photo editing software is considered a plus

Volvo Group Connected Solutions Communications team is now looking for a Communication Manager who will develop and deliver stories, and bringing them to life. The ideal candidate is an innovative team-player and a driven communications professional who is passionate about modern communication ideas, and spreading the word about our pioneering innovations that takes place at Volvo Group Connected Solutions.

Reporting to VP of Communications, you will be part of the communications team and work in close cooperation with Volvo Group Corporate Communication as well as all Volvo Group Business Areas and truck divisions in order to develop, deliver and evaluate efficient communication tactics.

Key responsibilities
Planning and execution of communication strategies in a changing business landscape
Message creation and creative writing across internal and external channels, e.g. blogs, press releases, newsletter, employee communication through email and other relevant channels, web
Plan, execute and participate in events
Keep in the forefront of developments in the communication field to improve communication plans and execution
