Design Engineer - Hydraulics R&D

Your qualifications
- Strong general competence within hydraulics, preferably mobile hydraulics
- Troubleshooting & either design or manufacturing experience of hydraulic components such as valves, pumps, motors or similar
- CAD and preferably PLM
- Fluent in English


Desirable skills
- Hands-on experience of hydraulic systems in mobile machines such as agricultural tractors or similar
- Mechatronics understanding of hydraulic control systems, i.e. multi-disciplinary. Together with experts within these fields, also taking electronics & software factors into approach
- Skilled and experienced in supplier contacts in terms of joint product development and maintenance
- Simulation of hydraulic systems using tools like Matlab/Simscape, Amesim, Hopsan or similar
Design Engineer - Hydraulics
As a design engineer in hydraulics you will have responsibility for the functional performance and specifications of our hydraulic valves, quick-coupling systems and cable control joysticks. You will work in close cooperation with our partners in terms of detailed design and manufacturing, throughout the complete product lifecycle. As part of the control systems team, you will be combining your expertise with theirs in software and electronics, developing smart controls through a “mechatronics-approach”. With a strong focus on quality and safety, tasks related to product maintenance, risk & hazard analysis, process development, FMEA and general documentation should also be expected. You will also have the possibility to have a leading role in testing and tuning of our control systems, both at our R&D lab and at end-customers all over the world. This position is located in Umeå. You will be reporting to the Director of Control Systems Development.
